We have about 12 different Macs that are a mix of Snow Leopard and Lion, accesssing shared files on a Mac Mini running OS X server. Two of the machines could only access the server for a few hours after applying the latest update, and now can't connect. I was able to connect manually from the Terminal and it worked fine until they were rebooted, and now not even that works. Error from mount_afp is -5023. After a bunch of tries the server won't even respond to a ping from that host, like a firewall starts blocking the client or something.

All the other machines have no problem accessing the server. Everyone is using 'Administrator' user and the same password to connect (really stupid but I don't make the rules here). We did an Internet restore on one of the machines, and everything worked fine until the user ran the update again. :(

I have tried connecting via wifi and ethernet, no difference.

Has anyone else had this issue?
