IPad 2-mail groups.

Is it possible to create mail groups from the contact book on the IPad 2? I can make "smart groups" on my Mac mini but it gets really really old trying to pick one contact after another, after another, individually, whenever I want to forward an e-mail from my iPad to more than one person.

Seems all I can do is pull up contacts one at a time.......
