You see all the various benchmarking tools for graphics/cpu performance, but what about real world audio recording performance from the main players in the audio recording field?

And thus I say we devise our own benchmarking methods in the 'I can record X amount of 16bit/44.1kHz tracks with my X Mac'. Lets all try to stick to the following rules - 16bit 44.1kHz, mono tracks. If you list your setup in the following way -

Mac -
Ram -
Sound Card -
Software -
No of Tracks/Instances -
Any other info -

What do you reckon?

Mac - Mac Mini 1.25 GHz
Ram - 512 mb Crucial
Sound Card - On board - 256 samples
Software - Reason 3.0
No of Tracks/Instances - 5 combis/6 with stuttering

Any other info - Start with empty rack, load in a Mixer, keep adding instances of Bagleys Del Mar combi Patch, until "Your computer is too slow to play back this song" message comes up

No of Tracks/Instances - 32 tracks (max on LE) no FX
External HD - Lacie FW800 240Gb 7200rpm

Sound Card - Digidesign 192
Software - Protools HD3
No of Tracks/Instances - haven't run out yet, 80+ tracks and FX
