The trading range for today seems to be from 402 to 426, with big swings in both directions. Have there been days with a 20+ pt zig-zags before?

Yes, AAPL can be volatile. Focus on the percentage gain or loss and not the share price.

I think today's volatility can be traced to Cook's remarks yesterday and the iPad being removed from Amazon China today, at Apple's request. Initial reports didn't say Apple requested it.

I think there is the analyst push to 'be right'.

There are some popular websites suggesting holding longer is stupid...and people believe them. Coupled with china news and an intrinsic fear resulting from very fast gains, we are seeing uncertainty.

That said, we may see a small pull back...but to me, in a year it's going to be higher than today.

$496.89 to $526.29 USD
