I have a brand new iMac with Mac OS X 10.7.2

I have been trying to get my CF cards that have footage from a 5D or Sound Cards to show up on my computer as a drive that I can drag and drop from.

I am using a Dynex card reader and SanDisk CFs.

I have tried a workaround by plugging the 5D in and trying to get the footage through my camera. But the only thing that the computer does, is recognize the 5D as a camera and only allowing access through iPhoto.

I need to see the CF card as "no name" drive, so I can file footage or sound appropriately.

Any help is much appreciated

Not sure why it's not showing up as a drive in the card reader, but Canon cameras don't show up as drives when you plug them in via USB. You can import files using Image Capture.
