Anyone else unable to register with Messages on Mac?

I get this message no matter what I do. I thought it was just servers overloaded at first but other people seem to be logging in no problem...

i had a problem getting imessage at first. I uninstalled, which reinstalled ichat, and then downloaded it again and it gave me a little start up screen the second time.

I just rebooted a second time, seemed to work.
I was quite irked that in 2012 it's still necessary to reboot to install an application, though. Guess the MAS has spoiled me.

I had this issue just keep trying and it will eventually work.
