I know there is yahoo groups ,google groups and MSN groups but they are so dead now and full spam and bots.

Yahoo had this topic thing going like where you can join a topic but I do not think it has gone out of beta.

Yahoo answers is good to get questions answered but the quality of answers is really bad .So I do not want to use it.

I'm looking for some thing like Yahoo answers that has better quality of answers .


And some thing like yahoo groups you can join and talk to other people with same interest.

Is Cha Cha still around? I think they give answers to things...not sure of the set up though.
 
Reddit has a lot of small groups of users with similar interests. If you just look at the front page it seems like it is just full of junk, but if you dig a bit deeper you can find some really good high quality discussion and content.
 
What about newsgroups (Usenet) ? Are there any good? Are there active or are thay dead or full spam bots ?

Where would you go to find the Usenets and who host them ?
