This is very very odd. A couple weeks back my Imac was crashing like crazy! 😱 Getting weird horizontal blue lines on it, then the screen would become jumbled at times. Some days you couldn't even turn the computer on at all, it would start, but the little circular thing would only spin a few times before it stopped.
We took it to a computer repair store, not an Apple store, btw, but they hooked it up to their internet server and it worked perfectly. Know this for a fact because I went to the store and made them show me themselves how my Imac was doing. It was doing splendidly so I couldn't understand what went wrong with the computer. It's an older Mac, at least a few years old, but we had a new Hard Drive installed last year and it's still under warranty!
Sometimes we could get the computer on and working but when we used something like Text Edit or the Itunes it would crash again!
Could someone explain this to me? It just doesn't make any sense. But... the technician at the computer store DID tell me that sometimes your computer can pick up viruses from websites. Know we went on a few websites where cyber bullies liked to hang out. It was a place where you couldn't even speak your mind or the truth, no matter how polite you were. Perhaps there were hackers there, b/c we did have to register to get on that site.
Now... after we brought the computer back from the computer repair store, it was working FINE, until.... we hooked it up to the internet again.
I'm hoping this darn new modem will not disrupt or destroy my computer again, b/c we went all over the place looking for a new laptop to get, but they were too expensive..
Now.. I'm thinking.. geez Louise, maybe I ought to go get a wifi router and get it installed BEFORE the computer crashes again.
OR maybe this new modem is the cure to the Imac's problems.
What do you think?
Has anyone has this weird possible virus where all these tiny blue horizontal lines suddenly appeared on your computer, causing it to crash and you had to keep turning it off? The screen would become terribly jumbled too.. you couldn't even read the words on the screen half the time.
