Before Xcode 4.3, I used this method to submit applications to the app store:

-- Compile the application with the appropriate signing certificate which was configured inside the application's build settings
-- Distribute the application into the app store or clients using Xcode's built in submission process. When I was asked to select the signing certificate with which to sign the app, I always selected "Don't Resign", since it was already signed in the previews step.

However, the "Don't Resign" option does not exist in Xcode 4.3. Therefore, my application is resigned. Has Xcode become smarter and automatically determines if an application is already signed and skips this step if necessary, or will I be badly surprised when I try to upload a new version of the app? (I can't test this yet, since I am distributing ad hoc versions, and I don't have access to the end use machines).

Any thoughts on this? Has anyone tried uploading an application to the App Store using Xcode 4.3 successfully? If yes, what method did you use?
