We have this image, a college of mine was telling me that when she placed it in InDesign that it came in as a tiny little image, so I took a look at the image. Opens in Photoshop or Preview at a size that is "normal to the eye.

When you look at the image size in photoshop…

The Pixel Dimensions are 1000 x 726

Document Size is only .333 inches x .0242 inches

yet the resolution is at 3000 dpi?

How does an image become like this?

This isn't the first image that I have seen like this.


Just curious if anyone has any information about why this is like this.

don't know how it became that way but you can just go into image size and change it to 300 (with resample image turned off). My hunch is someone went in to change the dpi and hit 3000 instead of 300.
