I like where the author puts "Hard to copy music from player to computer" as a negative. He should have just said, "Apple, the scoundrels, have made it unnecessarily difficult to use the iPod for mass piracy!"

I find it very funny that Real Player 10.5 got the same rating as iTunes but said for "the bad" it says "It's hard to complain about something that works this well and is available for free"... bs, I've had more problems trying to install it on my PC than any other media player EVER, even all versions of Windows Media Player were alot more stable and easier to install than Real Player, and it's a bloated piece of trash

Whilst I'm a big fan of iTunes...
and have converted several PC users over to iTunes...
it won't be the "Sweetest Song" until we get Aust iTMS (if ever).

Now it is just 'sweet'.

Yes because everyone who wants to copy files from their iPod to a PC is a pirate just like everyone who uses encryption on the internet is a terrorist or has something to hide? You using Filevault on your Mac? If so then call that FBI right now and turn yourself in. You obviously are doing something illegal.

I’ve come to the conclusion that MusicMatch and Realplayer stay in business because they have schmuks like me who look at the software and the feature and think well its 2 versions since I last used it. It has to be better right? And shell out some $$ for their POS wares. I did this with MusicMatch. Oh god was I wrong. What a colossal POS. I mainly did it for the ability to auto reindex metadata in a file based on the filename. Saved me days of work but in the end I scrapped the idea since I wanted to go pure AAC once Apple released iTunes for Windows.
But the software stunk like 2 week old NY trash that has been in 90* weather all that time. I will never again install or try either ever again. I tried Real Player last week. Crashed on the first attempt to open the player. That’s some quality coding there folks.
I'm sorry but I want to literally slap the **** out of people who won't even try iTunes. I keep two key apps with me on my USB thumb drive. FireFox and iTunes. I have other apps on there but those I install most often. Both make Windows MUCH more tolerable.

I used MusicMatch for about 2 seconds when they announced iPods for Windows. I was thinking about getting one eventually (which I did). I uninstalled it immediately. The paid version must be a lot better, because I couldn't stand the free one and couldn't see anybody paying anything for it just to burn CDs faster. I was so glad they released iTunes for Windows. I still keep WMP and an old copy of WinAmp around (2.91, the last good version IMO) on my PC, but I love using iTunes as a JukeBox.

Don't even get me started on Real. I use Real Alternative and a hacked version of Media Player Classic to play .rm files. Works pretty well. The Mac RealPlayer doesn't suck quite as much as the Windows one, but it's still not great. Glad I don't have to use it as much. I'd rather use WMP 9. :p

and windows set against a brushed-grey background.

He means brushed metal.....

Wait, he listed this as a plus?!

J/K

I don't mind brushed metal, but I am amused by people who do.

Is there anyway I could find this guys email.
When he is talking about transferring from home to office, it seems like disk use would really help him out, and it doesn't seem like he knows about it.
