I set up new atv2 last night and tried mirroring and streaming from ipad2 all with proper software. It works for awhile and then drops off. I have 4 bars of signal. Router upstairs atv down. Another prob is when i expand a video to full screen it freezes. Any ideas?

its jailbroken, linksys/cisco and proper software meaning 4.4.4 on the atv and 5.01 on the ipad.

I'm not jailbroken and my ATV2 & iPad 1 work flawlessly for AirPlay. I handbrake my video to the ATV2 setting and it plays great on any recent iOS device.
My router is a Netgear WNDR-3700
Either try that sans jailbreak or get a 5GHz router or try wired Ethernet to the ATV2.
