Not my favorite song by them, but definitely an amazing band. If you want a good "hits" CD, get Chronicle Volume 1. They have a lot of other great songs that weren't released as singles too, but this is a good CD for the casual fan.

Duff-Man says...a fantastic song...but not from the normally heard studio recording on "Willy & the Poorboys" - the version on the live "the concert" cd smokes....Fogerty rools...imitators drool...oh yeah!

I didn't understand what this song was all about at all when I was growing up. Sad that I now have a reference point that brings it all into focus. :-(
