Removing my email address from iMessage

I currently have an Apple ID loaded on 3 devices.

iPhone 4
iPhone 4S
iPad 2

My iPhone 4 does not have my email address / Apple ID shown as a receiving spot in iMessage but my iPhone 4S does and will not allow me to remove it.. any idea how I get this out of there?
