Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Is there any way to reseach and recover old, private messages on this website using my Mac ?....even though the messages have been deleted?

No, not a previous account... A current account. I was reasonably sure the site servers would not have the history, I just wondered if there was anything "deep, down, in my Mac " that would allow me to find old PM's.

PMs are only stored on MacRumors' servers. They are not on your Mac. You cannot recover deleted PMs. Maybe whomever you where PMing still has a copy?

The OP has been a member since Feb 27, 2012... How "old" can these messages be?

As people have said. there is no way to recover old deleted pms. They are removed from the database, rather than just hidden.
