Beats by Dre - Solo HD editions - removable headphone padding?

Okay so it's a long story but the headphone padding on my beats is coming loose on one side, are they removable? I've had a replacement pair sent with the same issue.

I've rang the Beats UK helpline and they were useless...

Any advice welcome.
