This may not be the right place for this, but I have really been struggling to find a good keyboard to pair with my first iPad. I have the apple keyboard, and absolutely love it, but when I paired it with my fathers iPad 2, the arrow keys wouldn't work...I did some research, and it seems like thats just reality. Kind of a deal breaker for me, as I was looking to do a lot of typing on the iPad and the arrow keys are pretty essential for that.
So, I go ahead and buy the Kensington Apple iPad 2 key folio Pro performance not even thinking the arrow keys would work on that, and they do!

So whats the deal?? is it possible to override whatever apple has done to disable the use of the arrow keys on the keyboard they make? If not, has anyone come across a good, portable bluetooth keyboard that they have paired with the iPad? As much as I like the Zaggfolio, I have casing worked out, but this keyboard thing is kind of ridiculous.

For example, I found this logitech that says if its for the iPad, but 65 bucks?? and who knows if it even has the arrow function I'm looking for...

Anyone have experience with this?? I would appreciate any help you all can provide.
Thanks,
A

Which IOS was on the iPad you tried it with? I used my Apple Keyboard with my wife's first generation iPad earlier today and the arrow keys worked great.

I was using his iPad 2. I wonder if the newer iPad stopped allowing access to the arrow keys?

I thought I read that there are two version of the BT keyboard. An "A" and a "B." The A is the older one and seems to have full functionality. The newer one which is designed for Lion seems to be missing things when paired with the iPad.

I have the A version and works perfectly with my iPad 1. I'll try it with my son's iPad 2 and see what happens.

EDIT: I just confirmed that my older versions (from 2009) arrow keys work just fine with the iPad 2 and Pages.
