Reasonable? Reasonable?! Do you know where you are, young man? Macrumors.com! Lowball offers all round! If the offers were any lower, they'd hit your ankles.

It had to be said.

It goes both ways. I see lots of systems being listed for more than the price Apple sells refurbished for.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question:

Was this upgraded in some way? I know that the current iBooks offer only up to a 60 GB Hard Drive and yours is 80 GB.

The 1.07Ghz Processor is not one that I've heard of - was that an upgrade?

IIRC, apple marketed them as 1GHz, just when people try and sell them, they list 1.07GHz a) because that what is says in system profiler and b) to sound more impressive.

Is it normal for a 12" iBook to have a Superdrive?! That's cool stuff.

The processor stats came directly from my About this Mac.

I did upgrade to a superdrive and a larger hard drive about three months ago. It is 5400 rpm, not 7200 ... but it's quick and reliable.

Thanks for the questions.

As far as reasonable goes ... I was just trying to make clear that I know what it's worth and want something comparable. Thanks again.

I also forgot to mention I am sending it with a USB Mac mouse. You can do what you will with it. I never use it but it looks nice.

Thanks again.

If you'd rather not trade but would still like this iBook, I will accept offers for this as well. I accept payment through PayPal. Please send message with offers for amount through email (ldburroughs@cox.net) or here in forum. I would still prefer a decent trade but this will work well if someone is interested.

As far as potential trades go, I'm really leaning toward some smaller systems becuase I would like to remain as portable as possible. Please send offers of any type though ... you never know.

Thanks again everyone!

After reading the rules for this section I've decided to be proactive in adding a few details to this auction.

The software listed (iWork '05, iLife '05, and Microsoft Office v. X) are all originial and properly installed programs. I will happily send the installation discs and any literature that came along with the discs.

Also, while I have received a number of good offers, nothing has been finalized. So please keep them coming. I intend to make my decision within a day or two. The next step will be to find someone willing to follow through with the trade. Once we have made a connection and have agreed upon an offer, we can go from there.

Thanks again to everyone who has thus far responded and to those who have yet to respond. Have a great day!
