I installed DP1 when it came out, but found that FCPX would work extremely slow. Any simple task would lag a lot and constantly freeze up. I re-installed snow leopard because I needed to use FCPX (which it runs perfectly fine under). I'm not sure if its because of my specific machine it was laggy or mountain Lion. Can anyone speak to if DP2 works better with FCPX and FCP7? I would like to go back to the Mountain Lion but don't want to lose my FCP while doing it

Mountain Lion is a Developer Preview. Developers either use a separate machine or a separate boot partition for unreleased versions of OS X.

If you need FCP to keep working, You should stick with Snow Leopard or Lion.

After all, even if FCP works in ML DP2, it could break with the next DP.

What machine are you running?
I am also curious of FCPX on the preview of Mountain Lion. I'm hoping my MBA 2011 is capable of running both FCPX and Mountain Lion without any problems, as i would like to use Mountain Lion for the iCloud apps like Reminders and other shiz i could use with my iPad and iPhone.
