Install Tiger via external DVD-ROM Drive???

I want to get Tiger on my iBook, but all I have is an internal CD-ROM drive. Is it possible to install Tiger via an external DVD-ROM Drive? I know you can boot off of Firewire, so I would think it would be possible, but I need to know for sure.

Yes you just plug in a fiirewire DVD drive and while booting hold T to boot from the firewire drive and proceed with the installation...
