I have a 2008 iMac (2.6 GHZ with 4 GB RAM with 750 GB HD).
I have had nothing but trouble with it. Since day 1. The recent networking problems are about to drive me to chuck it in the street.
I honestly think I got a lemon. I have been using Macs since 1988. Most recently the Beige G3 tower, the graphite iBook, Sunflower iMac, BlackBook... I have never had problems with any of them like this iMac.
I want to sell it and get a MacMini or just hook my 2010 13" MBP up to a display.
This new computer will basically be my iTunes server for the house, and for homework for my kids with the iApps.
Do you think I need to wait for a refresh or are the current models sufficient? And what kind of price should I sell the iMac. I am also wondering how to put Lion back on it without having the OS tied to my iTunes account. I have the retail SL disc, should I just put that back on it?

Thanks for any advice or tips.

sell it with snow tell people it can help them if they have programs that do not like lion. (plus you are legal) if they insist on lion buy a 30 dollar app card and give it to them. As for a mac mini doing what you need yes it will. If you are usa based buy this

Thanks for your reply. I am out of patience with that iMac.
