Free ipod mini when you buy an apple

My friend who works the apple store at Cal state Long Beach just sent me a text message saying: "New back to school promo: free ipod mini when you buy an apple computer. You just missed it." Not sure if this was announced yet, but just thought I'd share. I checked the apple site and didn't see anything but who knows. Unfortunately I just ordered my powerbook last week 🙁. Oh well, I got the $100 rebate, and I have an ipod photo anyways!
 
It's probably just a special deal at that school. I remember a couple years back when my school (UCLA) was offering a deal for AppleCare. Buy a PB and get AppleCare for $99. This was during the Cram and Jam too.

Sounds basically like the Cram and Jam rebate. Last year the Cram and Jam rebate was buy a laptop and iPod and get a $200 rebate.
