So one night i'm on skype talking to my friends with my laptop on the carpet next to me. It's a pretty flat carpet but still soft. My computer is charging fine and I've been taking extra care not to push my charger into the computer at all so i dont break it. When I go to bed I leave it on the carpet and leave it with the lid closed so it's on stand-by. The next morning I found that it had stopped charging and for and the little plastic cover at the top of the computer has melted slightly. Everything else in the computer is fine. I want to know if i can fix it before tomorrow because my other school laptop is in repair for the same reason and the one im using is a loan one. And if not how do I prevent the same thing happening again?   :(
