I know how to set a static IP address in OSX via Network Settings but I only want the static IP address to be used when I'm on one particular network (my home), every other network I connect to I want it to remain automatic. How do I go about doing this?

thanks

ok guys i figured out a way around it, just let the router issue a static IP for your machine, now I have another problem, If i connect to a server and I have both ethernet and wifi enabled, I'm trying to send some large files to the server, will OSX automatically use ethernet instead of wifi? thanks!
