how do i delete an entire song in gb? i have the book (gb2) and can't seem to find out anywhere. it's hard to become a rockstar when you have to learn how to use a computer first :)
also, some of my songs run smooth, while others have latency. the only software instuments i use are the drums, everthing else is real. i have a g4 pb, 1ghz processor, 512 ram, tiger 10.4. any thoughts?
thanks

What do you mean by deleting an entire song? Forgive me for any offence here, you say you are learning the computer, so you do mean you can't navigate to the file to delete it?
As for the latency, what audio interface do you use?
Cheers
Ben

Go to your Home Folder/ Music/Garageband. Select song/then Apple delete. You can change song titles there as well. Just remember to 'dot band' after title otherwise you won't find them

you need to lock the tracks before playback. If you don't lock the tracks, GB has to use the processor to compile all that information. I guess you've noticed it brings everything to a halt. If you lock the tracks, however, it renders all that information to the HD, which frees up the processor to do whatever else it needs to do.
hope this helps
