You can try something like Data Rescue III, but odds are you aren't going to be able to recover everything. You should use the computer as little as possible or the space will start to get overwritten.

the link i posted supports up to lion so its compatible but like miles said you still might not get everything back with data recovery software

ive actually only ever used windows recovery software, ive use a few in my windows days and they are all similar im sure tis the same for OSX

Remo is good. I like Data Rescue 3 best, Remo second, everything else after.
