I learned that aliases, if made from removable media, will ask for that media by name if you click on it. So then I thought: What about moving files/photos/whatever you want to archive to DVD and then leave fully organized aliases for all of the files and folders?
The only catch is that i cannot seem to figure out how to create aliases for a whole folder structure. Creating one alias, easy. Creating aliases for a bunch of files in the same folder, easy. Creating aliases (quickly) for a full tree -- pain. Or is it?
Anyone else done this?
