sleep problem

hi

i don't think my iMac is going to sleep properly just over the last few days when i put it to sleep i think only the screen goes to sleep where as the whole computer used to go to sleep i can still hear it running as normal when i put it on sleep. is there a problem?

any help would be appreciated.
