Synching iPad For The First Time In A LONG TIME

I have an iPad 1 that I haven't synched for a while - like since before I upgraded to snow leopard and lion... (which I did only a week ago - runs & hides).

Anything I should be looking for / wary of?

I'm planning to synch it one last time before handing it over to another family member and then I'll synch the iPad2 that's been sitting unopened since last May.

(if you've guessed I'm procrastinator, you're right!)

To transfer anything I might need from it (notes, apps, etc). May customize an iTunes playlist and selection of movies for wife and to update the OS.
