anyone know if its possible to rplace the superdirve in a current model powerbook with one that will burn DL DVD's?

It is possible but the drives are fairly expensive, and it is very hard to do you can find some tutorials on the internet but it is not an easy job...

Hi, you might be better off getting an external drive cost wise but if it's the portable issue then cost might not matter. Do a search on MR since there have been Q's on this before and some have given a name of a company that does this sort of thing (since I can't think of it off hand).
