I have some Power Mac G5s with their original graphics cards (ill probably upgrade to a better one although likely same connections) and I need to connect one to a 2009ish Apple Cinema Display that uses a DVI-D connection (same found on pre thunderbolt macbook pros).

Anyone know which connectors I'll need?

The LED ACD uses Mini DisplayPort, and since your PM has a GPU with DVI, you need an expensive adapter from Atlona or Kanex, that converts the signal properly (100 to 150 USD for such adapter - DVI to MDP).

Thanks! I'll check them out. Are you aware of any graphic card that would work with the Power Mac G5 that would allow me to connect the cinema display to the card with just a standard adapter and not a signal convertor?

I am not aware of any GPU with a DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort output, that works with a PowerMac G5, since MDP was introduced almost four years after the PowerMac has been discontinued.
