I local Apple reseller has a used 11" Macbook Air 1.6 i5, 4gb, 128gb for $899.

I was going to wait out the new ones, but 25% off the retail value seems like a great deal. It is mostly meant to be my secondary computer since I built a Hackintosh and sold my 2011 mini for $800.

Is a 25% discount worth buying in, even with a new model probably coming in the near(er) future?

Thanks for any advice.

The same model is $999 refurbished from Apple with a full 1 year warranty. Is the full warranty worth it to you is the question?

I'd say so for a few reason.

1. It's been owned for the past 9 months and past the diagnostics to be sold, so it's probably not a lemon.

2. I can still buy the extra 2 years with an educational discount (which is a huge discount for applecare)

3. That money will go towards a case/sleeve

4. The same shop offered be a great deal on my mini. They deserve the return business. (also i like little computer shops, reminds me of my pc building days :) )
