How Does One Sync iPhone with iTunes if They Don't Own a Laptop?

Does anyone have any solutions to this?

Do you own a desktop computer?

Also, if you are getting a new iPhone it should already be running iOS 5, which eliminated the need to sync through iTunes.

Clarification: I am travelling without a laptop and only have my phone. If I wanted to sync an audiobook from librivox or such am I out of luck? Would someone else's computer even help then, can I log into iTunes or as someone said it can only be 'set up'.
