Yep, we may consider it in the future update.

----------

I checked them all, and they're all used.

When the new version comes out, we will send out more codes.

IMO, it's not as good as ...

Which feature?
Our subtitle feature and RMVB playback performance is far better than av.
also we have network streaming support.

I tried the lite version. Doesn't seem to be very promising.
Is the official version really better than AVPlayer HD and RushPlayer?

These apps are better than each other in different respects.

AVPlayer HD has, for example, absolutely the best software decoder for 1080p H.264 videos - considerably better than that of OPlayer.

OPlayer is better than AVPlayer HD in the following ways:

- full playlist support (AVPlayer HD has NO playlist support at all)

- audio track selection in videos with more than one audio track (AVPlayer HD doesn't support this at all - check with, say, http://www.auby.no/files/video_tests/h264_720p_hp_3.1_600kbps_aac_mp3_dual_audio_harry_potter.mkv or http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13100693/html/072011TSVideoPlayback/Jaakiekon-MM--Suomi---Venaja_2011.05.13_YLE-TV2_12984065%5Bcopy%5D.ts ).

- incompatibility with some WMV's otherwise compatible with OPlayer (e.g., http://flightpass.higherplaneproductions.com/g2data/albums/FreeAll/popup.php?src=/g2data/albums/FreeAll/freewmv/SeqRedAero-_W.wmv&download=1 )

- MUCH better 1080i60 MTS support (e.g., http://movies.dpreview.com.s3.amazonaws.com/panasonic_dmcfz150/streetdrummer.MTS )

etc.

If you want to know the full list of differences and you have the time/patience to adventure through my work-in-progress and, therefore, (still) messed up main chart of my forthcoming all-in-one iOS Multimedia bible, it's here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13100693/html/042012RetinaHDVideoPlayers/201204-mm-chart.ods . (It's in OpenOffice format.)

Not impossible - some players (currently, XBMC and HD Player Pro ( http://itunes.apple.com/app/hd-player-pro/id429610228?mt=8 4.0 ) - see my just-linked Multimedia bible-chart) already have it. It's just freaking hard to implement.

Thanks for sharing, I think you said 1080p h.264 are mp4 files, enable quicktime plugin in the settings page of OPlayer, you can also play 1080p h.264 movies.

I've referred to the cases when 1080p h.264 video stream MUST be played back using SW decoding because they aren't in an MP4 / m4v / MOV container but in, say, MKV or AVI.

We have tested it here that both OPlayer and av has slow playback performance with 1080p mkv files, is there any test file we can download to check it here?

What would be huge would be to add video/audio bookmarking, or at the very least a memory of the last play position when returning to a file.

This exactly is wotking for me. If I close Oplayer while watching some movie, the part of the movie when I stopped wathcing is marked. So if I open Oplayer again, I can see in list of all files witch movie I stopped watching in what time and it will start playing from the last marked position :)
The only problem is missinf ac3 codec, however this is really great movie player :)

Well, actually, most players are capable of doing this. The OP meant assigning any number of bookmarks at arbitrary positions in any file - something Azul has at least promised (see my post at http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=16185624&postcount=2 )

Ok, well neither way is working for me. If I stop a file and leave the app for long enough it does not resume. Even if it worked, if I want to play another file I've lost my place. Until this exists I can't recommend oplayer or any player app for that matter. Why is everyone so behind on such a basic thing as reading the current play head position and storing it in a variable??
