I have to write my first Apple Script this week and - despite a past in which I did some programming - I have no idea where to start.

I need a script which I can load a page of HTML from a blog into. It will then visit all of the pages that have listed trackbacks (i.e. links which don't begin with one of 2-3 specified URL's which are the blogs) and look for a specific URL.

It will output a text file which includes the name of each page it visits which contains a reciprocal link (i.e. a URL entered into the script) formatted as an HTML link (a href etc.) which appears as the name of the page it visited.

So I'm trying to automatically create a list of links to pages that trackback to the posts on a blog.

Any ideas? If you're laughing at how easy this is please laugh away - I'll pay you $50 to write it for me.

Otherwise - all advice appreciated.

Penman.
