I really don't mean to be rude ... but just what is so fascinating to Apple collectors about the Pippin?

Rare things are generally popular among collectors, and the Pippin is an Apple-developed device that is rare.

The Pippin is a Mac, in fact not only is it a Mac it was the first Mac Mini! Mine is a fully operational Power PC computer running System 7.5. I can do anything with my Pippin that can be done on a Power Mac of the period, it also happens to play games.
