Using iMac G5 while connected to TV

Hey everyone,

I often connect my iMac G5 17" 2GHZ to my TV via the Composite thingy (gotta love my details) that I think I got with my mac so my family can watch films which are on the mac. Anyways, I heard there was an app or tweak or something that allowed one to use the iMac screen while it is connected to the TV. Anyone know what it is?

Isn't that the hack that completely erases your hard drive and causes the processor and the screen to burn to a crisp?
