AmazonBasics USB Charging/Sync Cable works with the Ipad 3 wall charger?

I want to buy a long sync cable to connect it to my Ipad 3 wall charger. I'm not sure if the AmazonBasics USB Charging/Sync Cable for Apple iPod, iPhone, and iPad will work because I remember it did not work for my friend's Ipad 2. He said all it could do was transfer data from the comp.

Can somebody corroborate this?

I think they also have a 10' version.

I have this one from Amazon Basic and it worked fine with my iPad 2 and now my new iPad 3 for both sync and charge.
