I simply want to burn an avi or mp4 video file to dvd with soft subtitles (that I can turn on & off during playback on a dvd player). I'm not able to properly install ffmpegx so I'm looking for alternatives. RoadMovie claims to encode soft subtitles, but I find no option to do this nor do I find instructions. Toast 11 has no option for this either, in fact I don't think it handles subtitles at all (!)

Can anyone advise me on the simplest way to get this done?

MacPro. 10.5.8. Perian installed.
