I have a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition graphing calculator by Texas Instruments. Apparently the connectivity software to manage the data on the calculator is only supported up to OS X 10.5 and I'm on Lion (10.7).

My only other option is to use Windows, which isn't a problem because I have XP installed in a virtual machine...the only problem is that the software isn't recognizing the device in either of the COM1 or COM2 ports, which I assume because they are not physical ports.

Does anyone know a work around for this? I really need to access the data on my calculator...

EDIT: In case anyone is following this thread, the software cannot recognize the device unless you let Windows install drivers for it. Once that's done the device should connect with no issues. Just make sure your firmware on the calculator is up to date or you'll have trouble transferring stuff to/from it.
