Today I replaced a iPod touch at the apple store (broken home button).

I back up to iTunes but for some reason some of my apps are stored locally some in the cloud. When doing the restore I got an error message saying iTunes could not restore all apps because it could not find them all. The ones it could not find were the ones in the cloud.

This is a pain - the only way I seem to be able to get them back is to load each one individually on the iPod. This is so annoying since I had all my apps organised in folders - and after restoring from the cloud the apps don't end up in their folder.

I am not sure I understand how some of my apps can be in the cloud and some on my iMac.

Anyone know what is going on?
