Hi all,

I have 10.5.8 running on Intel Core2 Duo 1.83 Ghz

I have been trying to install mysql but failed in every attempt.

I have just followed this thread on this forum and gotten the closest I ever had:

http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=958631

The mysql server finally started but is stuck somewhere. Here is what is showing at Terminal:

andaluciadbase:~ andadbase$ cd /usr/local/mysql
andaluciadbase:mysql andadbase$ sudo -b bin/mysqld_safe
Password:
andaluciadbase:mysql andadbase$ 120529 17:07:02 mysqld_safe Logging to '/usr/local/mysql-5.5.24-osx10.5-x86/data/andaluciadbase.local.err'.
120529 17:07:03 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/mysql-5.5.24-osx10.5-x86/data

And here is the err file:
