Hello,
I am this problem with a new macbook pro running Lion. Whenever I want to restart, it gets stuck on the gray screen with the spinning wheel indefinitely, and I have to turn it off and then on to be able to restart. I am not sure why is this happening and its quire annoying. I have to say though that I am running a lot of applications on my computer, but since it's so hard to restart it, I always close them all (quit) before actually restarting, but that doesnt help. BTW, if I do turn it off and on, and then try to restart right away, it does restart properly.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
