If they made the cover look like the top of the mac mini, oomph, I'd be sold.

How do you mean? White Plastic top and bottom and aluminum 'round the circumference?
Now that I think about it... sounds like that commercial where an iBook is walking down the street and a PB is coming from the opposite direction.... and they collide and the PB get's mixed with the iBook and the iBook gets PB all over it???
... Thanks Adam Curry

Maybe for consistency it'll look more like the iMac G5. Very simple, all-white and iPoddish.
But why are they widescreening notebooks anyway? You either lose valuable screen real estate on an already small device, or you have to stretch the thing out horizontally. Neither seems particularly appealing.

But they're going to increase the resolution of the monitor as well, right? So you don't really lose much screen real estate.

Actually, you gain real-estate, they'll be highering the resolution.

Whatever they do, they should keep the 12" as it is!

Sometimes you can't find the right word, and you have to improvise.

I meant physical "real estate". Yeah you get a higher resolution, but everything's smaller -- both in terms of pixels and in terms of the physical dimensions of the device. That's not a win, in my eyes (or FOR my eyes, for that matter).

"increasing" would've worked.
