I have a late 2009 Macbook 6,1 - I'm looking at putting a 512 GB Crucial SSD into it. As I read more about these drives, they sound amazing and the videos I've seen show amazing speed increases.
However, what puzzles me is discussion regarding SATA "2" or "3" or even "1" - I'm not understanding those the right way. It sounds like if I put in a SSD and it can only run on one of the slower SATA settings, then it's not worth it.
Someone here has to understand this better than me. Help?
