The case of the bio-hazardous Thinkpad...

I wonder how they determined there was a biological substance on the notebook.

They wouldn't work on it at all - and they won't tell him what it is!:D

Maybe a roach crawled in and fried, doesn't make any sense. And there's no follow up. Damn funny, but I'd love to know what it was. The first thing I would have done after getting a return like that would be to open the thing up and see if I could find anything.

he he he...that's pretty interesting...I wish they provided more background information to this story...may give a hint of what actually was going on?
I doubt a fried roach or any insect would do that. I'm thinking along the lines of maybe some dropping/excrement? Did his cat pee in it? Is HE emitting hazardous biological material himself?
Oh the horror!!! :D ;)

My thinkpad smells funny.. this isa thinkpad campus, everyone has one. Often after being on overnight it smells like it's burning. My friend down the hall often checks his G4 tower - just to make sure. ;)

They fixed it! This is still a weird one. He doesn't say what caused them to think there was a bio hazard on his Thinkpad.

Could be a biological hazard, I mean a team of IBM technicians down with the flu this close to christmas break wouldn't be a good thing would it!
