My Dashboard Dissapeared!

Ok, my dashboard doesn't work anymore. When I hit F12, the screen dims and the dashboard drawer button shows up, but the widgets are gone. When I open up the dashboard drawer and drag a widget back onto the screen, the ripple effect happens, but the widget doesn't show up 😕

This started just the other day, and I havent been able to fix it yet, so I figured I'd ask here. It happened around the time I installed the ShapeShifter demo (I think) but I deleted everything related to ShapeShifter and it didn't help anything.

Any ideas?

Have you tried downloading another widget and justing seeing if that shows up?

Try finding and deleting these preference files

com.apple.dashboard.client.plist
com.apple.dashboard.plist

Maybe that'll get it working again.

It is a known issue after 10.4.2 update. Just repair permissions.
