I know this somewhat overlaps with another thread, but I'd like to have a master list of DiskSpeedTest results of various drives connected to the new 2012 MacBook Air machines. Please add your own results and I'll add them to this top post.

I also threw in a few others from my testing just for comparison purposes.

Drive Connection Write/Read (MB/s)

TS64E Internal 140/380
TS128E Internal 230/440

Apple Stock HDD 500gb Internal SATA 76/74
Apple Stock HDD 250gb Internal SATA 75/75
Sandisk Extreme SSD 120gb Internal SATA 150/435

Toshiba Canvio USB2 640gb USB 2.0 22/30

Apple Toshiba HDD 160gb USB 3.0* 55/55

Sandisk Extreme SSD 120gb USB 3.0* 126/162

Very interesting, But for those testing with ssd's it would be nice to know what external 3.0 enclosure is being used.

Good point, thanks. I added a note to the tests that I did using the same connector and cable from my Seagate drive.
