The popularity in past threads has been extremely close in some of the polls I've seen, almost a 50-50 split, indicating Apple got their market research spot on.

Now that they're out, I wonder what the split on this forum is.

I got the 13" because this will be our households only computer (except the ones we have for work) and thus the screen size was important. Portability not so much, only for vacations and then we can handle the extra pound.

Wow. So far it's about 75/25 for the 13". I'm guessing it will eventually even out.

I'm going with an 11in because I am pairing it with a Thunderbolt Display and also have a custom built windows desktop at my disposal. I was really looking for portability

Originally planned on getting the 13" but fell in love with the form factor of 11". The screen really isn't that bad - I really like the high PPI. I have a 13 MBP and 27 iMac, so the 11 Air is by no means my main computer, and I figured having a 13 Air and 13 MBP would be redundant.

Ended up purchasing the 11" i7/8GB/256GB today and it's awesome :) Going out of town for 2 weeks starting Monday, so I plan on giving it a "test run!" Hopefully it doesn't disappoint!

Wanted to go super portable.

Was worried it would be too small.

the 11.6" is just right for me.

Probably not for anyone that doesn't do as much simple reading and writing as I do, though.

Totally in love with the 11" form factor too, when carrying it around it's barely noticeable.

This poll so far is a whitewash for the 13" buyers. Where are you 11"ers!

I got the 2012 11' (i7, 8GB ram, 256GB SSD) and I love it - Its now my main machine.

For a few days I contemplated taking it back for a 13', but I decided the smaller screen is fine for my needs (web/email/media) and that the added portability make it the perfect grab and go computer.

I'm also getting the 11". Coming from an iBook 12" as my first portable Mac, I really found it a bit of a shame that they increased the screen size to 13". The 12" was ideal and followed me everywhere.

The MacBook G4 was also fine, but for some reason my current MBP 13" (2010) doesn't get out much. I don't know why it seems so heavy? I've been resisting the new iPad and still use my original iPad for Flipboard etc.

The 11" is going to be a more productive portable than the iPad, and I can't wait to use it for traveling, libraries, coffee shops etc. Wish I'd had one during my studies, but I waited for the new version (8/128) and this one will be my graduation gift instead.

I ordered (and am still waiting on) the 13". Portability is a very important factor, but since I'm coming from a 15" HP laptop, the 13" MBA will already be a huge step up.

Right here. I switched to the 11" with the 2010 model and haven't looked back. Of course, I do have a work notebook with a 14" screen (an aging Core 2 Duo with a 5400rpm HDD), but I would gladly use either the 11" or 13" Air at the office if I could.

Went with 11"/128GB/8GB, moving down from a 15" high res MBP. Lets see how it goes when I get the Air next week :)

I chose 13 this time and glad i did. I had an 11 inch 2010 mac air and it was just ok. the 13 really isnt much bigger to me to handle then the 11 so. im enjoying the 13 way more and love the extra battery life.

You're wrong! The 11 inch is much better! I feel sorry for you!

I got the 13in. I've had it for almost a week now. I don't even notice the difference in screen size from my old computer, which was a 14in dell, because of how much better everything looks on this computer. Super happy with the 13, and can definitely see myself using this in grad school happily without an external monitor.

Originally got a 13/i7/8/256. Just returned it yesterday, waiting for my 11/i7/8/512 to ship!!!

That's the 11" config I am getting! Amazing how the 11" airs can have these reasonable specs now. I was waiting for this to happen!!

I have a 27" Cinema Display (the older non-thunderboldt version), and I am wishing/hoping this will feel just like a desktop when plugged in.
