My Mom uses a Windows 7 machine and when I previously configured her Photo Stream earlier in the year, if you deleted a picture off her Photo Stream on her iOS device (or vice versa), it would also delete the picture from the "My Photo Stream" folder on the PC.
Due to her Photo Stream not updating on her PC, I reinstalled the iCloud Control Panel today and noticed that it didn't do this anymore. If I take a picture on her iPhone, it'll appear on the "My Photo Stream" folder, but if I try to delete the picture from the Photo Stream section on her iPhone, it'll remain on the PC (and vice versa). So I'm not sure which way it's supposed to operate. According to Apple, it's supposed to operate in the former way.
I suppose I'm somewhat confused how Photo Stream is supposed to operate on a PC. I use it on my Mac and the experience is pretty straightforward and seamless with iPhoto. You take a picture on the iPhone, it'll go to your Photo Stream, but also download into your iPhoto library. On a PC, it doesn't seem to do that and merely runs off of the "My Photo Stream" folder. If so, and if it operates the way Apple says it's supposed to, how are you able to get the pictures you want into your actual library or a separate, custom album without removing the pictures themselves out of Photo Stream? Or do you copy and paste them over? I'm a little lost here, so any clarification would really be appreciated.
Thanks!
